UAW Open Contract Talks At Stellantis and Ford
- GM To Open Next Week
On Thursday July 13 and Friday July 14, the UAW Opened National Contract talks with Stellantis and Ford respectively. Talks will open with GM on Tuesday, July 18. Region 8 has two members on the Top Committee at Stellantis, from Atlanta, PDC, Tammy Wiser and Josh Fisher.
Region 8 also has two members on the Top Committee at Ford, Brandon Reisinger, Louisville Assembly Plant (LAP) Local 862 and Jon Jaggers, Kentucky Truck Plant (KTP) Local 862.
UAW Region 8 Director Tim Smith was on hand for the official opening of both contracts. “We are ready for this set of contract talks,” Director Smith stated. “The Management Group at Stellantis were late which I thought was very disrespectful, especially due to the serious nature of these talks.”
Contract negotiations with General Motors officially opens on Tuesday, July 18, 2023. |
